To send money via Cellphone Banking:

  1. Dial *140*321#
  2. Enter cell banking pin (5 - digit)
  3. Select Send Money
  4. Select eWallet
  5. Select the account you want to Send Money From
  6. Key in the Cellphone number you want to send to
  7. Enter the amount you want to send
  8. Select Yes if you want to send the ATM pin to the receiver
  9. Confirm that all is correct (make sure you entered the right Cellphone number)

To Send Money via an FNB Online Banking:

  1. Log into Online Banking
  2. Select Send Money
  3. Select Once Off Payment (PIN)
  4. Enter Cellphone number and the amount
  5. Select the account you want to Send Money From
  6. Click on Send
  7. A confirmation screen with the details to which you wish to send money to will appear
  8. Click on confirm
  9. Enter your One Time PIN (OTP)
  10. Click on confirm

To Send Money via an FNB ATM:

  1. Insert your card and enter your PIN
  2. Select More options
  3. Select Send Money
  4. Key in the Cellphone number you want to send money to and select Proceed
  5. Key in the amount you want to send money to and select Proceed
  6. Confirm that all the details are correct and select Proceed
  7. Remember to take your card

  2. Select 'Send Money'
  3. Select 'Send Money to eWallet'
  4. Select the account you want to send money from
  5. Enter the amount and cellphone you want to send to
  6. Select 'Send'
  7. Confirm

To send money using the FNB Banking App you need to download the app on your smartphone.

When you receive an SMS notifying you that money has been sent to your cellphone, you can do the following

  • You can make a payment to anyone simply and easily.
  • Money can be sent to anyone who has a valid Namibian cellphone number and the recipient does not need to have a bank account.
  • Any cellphone model can be used to send money or to receive money.
  • Money is instantly available in the eWallet.
  • Recipients will be able access the money immediately at an FNB ATM without needing a bank card and without filling in any forms.
  • Recipients don't have to withdraw all the money at once.
  • They can also check the balance, get a mini statement, buy prepaid airtime.
  • You can send money at any time of the day or night via Cellphone Banking, FNB Online Banking, or at an FNB ATM.

How to receive money

How to receive money

Turn your phone into a wallet

You receive and SMS telling you that money has been sent

  1. 140*392# to 01 access the eWallet

    2. If you don't have airtime you can dial *140*999# to top up airtime first and then access you eWallet

  2. Select Get Cash
  3. You'll receive an SMS with a temporary ATM PIN which is valid for 4 hours
  4. Go to an FNB ATM
  5. At the ATM press the green button (enter/ proceed) and then eWallet Services
  6. Key in your Cellphone number and temporary ATM PIN
  7. Choose the amount of money to withdraw. Make sure that either your transaction has ended or that you press 'cancel' before leaving the ATM
